Saturday, was dedicated for the annual get together with friends for his friends bday party later in the day. Looking into a last start and some easy going, what was a nice and very scenic walk on top of Gruesch -Danusa side by side in an real winter wonder land.
This winter walk finished with lunch at the mountain house.
Back on the other side in Seewis, after some further shopping... Py got a bit nervous and thought a little run just before sun set would be a good thing to do before the party dinner. So, quicky changing into runnign gear, well, only light hiking boots, but good for the snowy conditions. A bit icy at the more used lower public open part of the road, then just very nice packed snow -- 5k and about 500m up and return, a decent 10k.

Friday - Lenzerheide
Today, Friday, Py went to Lenzerheide for one more day on the board. It was still cold, -12C at the base, but the sun made it through the sligh cloud cover, little snow fall. Charging up his Chip card again for the day and taking the little T-bar up to the bigger connecting chair lift.
Traversing all the way North of the area, multiple runs up and down zig-zig towards N. 'Half-way-up' it was slightly snowing while getting to the many peaks he always came out of the cloud and crystal clear sky and a great view was waiting. Playing around a bit at the fun area and a few more runs until he stopped at Alp Staetz for lunch and decided on a big Salat put together himself at the salad bar - just 5 Stutz.
With new energy he took the Staetzhorn lift to the top, just little below the highest peak of the area at 2575m, from there the black run 50 down and as it was so good, he did it again before further traversing all the way south, well, always including some runs all over including a ride to the base one half way S. Finally he made his way to Piz Scalottas. The chair ride up was the coldes and a bit scary with no sight at all at times, snowing and really cold.
Amazingly on 2323m the chair just dived out of the cloud and nice warm feeling sun was hitting Py. Still cold from the ride he felt like taking a short warmup break and stepped onto the nice wind protected porch of the Piz Scalottas House. Almost empty up there, the time was approaching 4p, he ordered a Cappuccino and a Nusstange.
After that, he finished the day up with a great run all the way down to Lenzerheide town. And the best ever, he did not felt a bit tiered or out of power at the end of the day at all. Great day. And probably the most fun power/strength training possible, it just does not feel like it but pure fun!
Took the bus-train-bus connection back up to Seewis.

Wednesday - Raufihorn Tour
Raufihorn Tour with Beni and David.
Cross Training, we planned to go up about 1200m to about 2300m with Snowshoe/Ski (up) down on the Snowboard/Ski. We had to - for safety's sake - shorten it to about 650m up as the snowfall and clouds were too dense. No visibility higher up -- white in white. We all were equipped with LVS (Lawienenverschüttungsgerät (Avalanche Search/Beeper/Sender Instrument), Schaufel (Shovel) und Sonde (long stick)). However, we did not proceeded higher up into any possibly dangerous terrain at all today.
A few views... starting with loading gear in the car. Messy roads and still snowing.

Monday - Day One - Weissfluh/Klosters
Py arrived by noon on Sunday in Seewies Dorf. It was overcast, some new snow.
Monday was about perfect, new snow, clear sky, no wind but cold or just right for a long day on the slopes. Turned out to a little late start, about 10:30 taking the big Gotschna Bahn to the top.... more later .... finishing the day at 17:30 with only a brief lunch break. 70km on the slopes (incl. lift rides starting from the top).

Also T-bars are still in use and no issue for Py any longer...

Start of his favorite run No 1/Kreuzweg...

The long way up from Schiefer

A longer flat section to be passed before the ride down into the valley...
